The Budget Session, 2007 of Parliament which commenced on Friday, 23 February, 2007 has been adjourned sine die on Thursday, the 17 May, 2007.
The Session was held in two parts. In the first part, the sittings of the Lok Sabha was held from 23 February, 2007 to 20 March, 2007 and the sittings of the Rajya Sabha was held from 23 February, 2007 to 21 March, 2007. The sittings of the Houses during the second part of the Session was held from 26 April, 2007 to 17 May, 2007. The Lok Sabha was in recess from 21 March, 2007 to 25 April, 2007 and Rajya Sabha was in recess from 22 March, 2007 to 25 April, 2007 to enable the Department related Standing Committees to examine the Demands for Grants relating to various Ministries/Departments and make their reports to the Houses. The Session yielded a total of 32 sittings of Lok Sabha – 17 sittings during the first part and 15 sittings during the second part and 31 sittings of Rajya Sabha – 18 sittings during the first part and 13 sittings during the second part.
